I've ordered another 5 proofs which should arrive on Wednesday. They won't have a couple typos I found, and all the illustrations after #4 will be renumbered. The first set of proofs had an illustration numbered "4a" which I changed to #5 and renumbered the other 26 illustrations after it. I plan to send those proofs to newspapers who have a particular interest in the case.

The last part of my Sunday comment was about the book "500 Days," which just came out. It mentions the anthrax attacks quite a bit, but it's not about the attacks. If "500 Days" sells well, maybe it will generate some new interest in a book that is all about the anthrax attacks of 2001. I hope, I hope.

Isn't the main difference between your book and 500 Days that you argue that a First Grader wrote the letters? Otherwise, doesn't that author make the same arguments as you do?

The facts are clear: Bruce Ivins was the anthrax mailer. It's not an "argument" to state what the facts say. The "argument" comes when people don't believe the facts or dispute them.
The biggest difference between "500 Days" and my book is that "500 Days" isn't about the anthrax attacks of 2001; that's just something mentioned in a book about all the other things that happened after 9/11.
My book is ABOUT the anthrax attacks of 2001.
My book is about what the facts say about how Ivins committed the crime, how the public was misled by the media and by conspiracy theorists, and how the FBI gradually figured out that Ivins did it.
The book steps through the case chronologically, describing Ivins' burglaries, his plans to murder people. I go into a lot of detail about what the facts say Ivins was likely planning to do with the bomb he seems to have made or planned to make in January 2000, a year and a half before he mailed the anthrax letters.
When it comes time to prepare the anthrax letters, I describe how the facts show that Ivins used a child to do the writing. If people don't believe the facts, that's not my concern. They won't have any FACTS which say I'm wrong.
